Comparing to the same quarter a year ago, amount of Innovator Visa applications has risen to 187% with 66 investors and 117 dependent applicants in the second quarter of this year.
The total investment amount equaled GBP 132 million during spring months and June and brought around GBP 222 million later this year. The rise of the applications is mainly connected to UK’s Covid-19 restriction lifting. Among the top applicant are Chinese, Hong Kong, Russian, and United States investors.
About Innovator Visa
The Innovator visa is for non-EEA nationals who are experienced businesspersons seeking to establish a business in the UK. In most cases, the applicant will need to have access to at least £50,000 to invest in their business or have already invested £50,000 in your business, but certain exceptions apply. The applicant will also need to have an innovative, viable, and scalable business idea that is approved and supported by an endorsing body.

Applicant’s partner and any children under the age of 18 may accompany or join them as dependents. Applicants can be the sole founder of their business and they can be a member of an innovator team. Each applicant must receive their own individual endorsement from an approved endorsing body, in order to satisfy the investment funds required for a new business endorsement, each applicant must have at least £50,000 investment funds each.
